Frequently Asked Questions

When will my prescription be ready?

Your prescription will be ready within 2 working days. For example a prescription brought in on a Friday will be ready on the following Tuesday.

Can I order my prescription over the phone?

Only if you are housebound. Other methods are by fax, post, email via the website or coming into the surgery.

Why can I never get through on the phone?

There are certain times when reception staff are much busier. The quieter times are 10am - 12pm and 3pm - 5pm.

Why are there no Doctors appointments?

There are always Doctors appointments for anybody who wishes to be seen urgently. If you are particular about which Doctor you see there may be longer waiting times.

When do you close for lunch?

We do not close for lunch although the telephones lines are not available between 12.30pm - 1.30pm.

Do you have a walk-in?

We are not a walk-in centre but if you need to be seen urgently our Triage Nurse Sister Barry will be happy to help.

Do you open late on any day?

We are open till 8pm on a Thursday evening for booked appointments or prescription collection only.

How do I make a complaint?

We take complaints very seriously. If you would like to make a complaint regarding the surgery or the services it must be put in writing addressed to the practice manager Samantha Brown.

When do I need a Medical Certificate? (Sick Note)

For the first seven days you are self-certified. You can collect an SC2 self-certificate form from reception or you can print one off the HM Revenue & Customs website here.
