As per Government guidance it will soon be mandatory to wear face covering when out shopping, along with public transport . However some people can be exempt from wearing one, including children under 11, people who cannot put on, wear or remove a face covering without experiencing severe distress; individuals with physical or mental disabilities who may have an issue with wearing face coverings and people who communicate with others through lip-reading.
You don’t need a note or card from your GP surgery to show you are exempt and we cannot give one to you.
